Heather Randolph,3rd Dan Aikido Kokikai International started Aikido in 1992.  Her first instructor was Takashi Isobe, 4th Dan.  Dave Comi, 4th Dan was her primary instructor around 1995, and Jay Rifkin, 3rd Dan, she then received her Shodan (first degree black belt) in 2001 .  In 2003 she received her Nidan (2nd degree black belt) She taught classes as a 2nd Kyu when the instructor could not teach class, and she also had her own class from 2002-2005.

 In 2005 she was invited to participate in the International Convention in Nagoya Japan by Shuji Maruyama.

In 2006 she started her own dojo called Boston Kokikai Aikido in Boston's Chinatown.  In 2013 she tested for and received her Third Degree Black Belt from Shuji Maruyama at Kokikai Aikido Summer Camp of 2013.

Two Students became Black Belts in 2014!

 Two of her students who started as novices in Aikido tested for the level of first degree black belt in 2014, and were awarded their black belt certificates.  Colin Clark who started in January of 2007 at BCNC and  and "Kasia" Katarzyna Kaczmarek who started at the Benjamin Franklin in 2008.
