Sensei tells us that if you touch a hot burner you will get a huge burn if you do not study Aikido because your reactions will not be as good!  It is important to work on your reaction time because not having good reactions can lead to incidents that can impact one's life negatively.  During Aikido class we are working towards having faster reactions by practicing regularly.  There are so many benefits to Aikido practice.  As I get older I often think how easy it is to quit Aikido practice not realizing all of the benefits that one has taken for granted.
